Dr. Tim McDonald is Service Chief for Anesthesiology and Medical Director of Quality and Safety, Sadra Medical and Research Center, Qatar.
Formerly Chief Safety and Risk Officer for Health Affairs at the University of Illinois, Dr. McDonald is a developer of the 7 Pillars Model and is PI of an AHRQ-funded demonstration grant to implement the model in 9 other hospitals and measure effectiveness at improving safety, reducing litigation and increasing patient and family engagement in safety work.
